The hot water in the new apartment has less pressure but is hotter.

Geese have been heading south the last two weeks. Small flocks but still. Bats were doing maneuvers closer to the ground as the blue hour framed everything.

Whilst watching The Thieving Hand (1906) I noticed a matte painting of an alleyway next to a pawnbrokers. Matte paintings in old cinema are a wonderful thing. They usually depict landscapes so it was nice to notice one depicting a small detail of a city.

Outside the apartment is a gravel path through a wooded area. Heavy footed people sound like rock beasts chewing stone. Sometimes.

Morning. Heavy rain cleared slowly. Languid grey.
Prepared a meal of potatoes, carrots and noodles in a tomato, mushroom sauce.
After lunch watched the trains at Pitäjänmäki.
Evening meal. Pasta in a rosemary and tarragon white sauce made with almond milk.
